Capital Works
We’re really pleased to have received support from the Asda Foundation, the Shared
Prosperity Fund (SPF) and the Community Foundation in Wales. Thanks to this
funding, we’ve been able to make some important improvements to the centre,
helping to keep the building safer and more sustainable.
With funding from the Asda Foundation, we’ve replaced our internal and external
lighting with LED fittings, upgraded our smoke detectors to new digital alarms,
installed a new fire door, and we’re also finishing off a few other bits of work.
The Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund has helped us tackle some much-needed
repairs too—replacing rotten soffits, guttering and fascia boards with new uPVC.
And there’s more to come: through the Community Foundation in Wales / Principality
Retrofit Grant, we’ll be fitting solar panels within the next month. This will help bring
down the centre’s energy bills and support our journey towards being greener.
A huge thank you to our funders—your support is making a real difference at the
Rassau Resource Community Centre.
